Grand Hikers - where "Great minds think a hike!"
Grand Hikers Club is a non-profit hiking club located in the community of Grand, Surprise, Arizona. It is one of many non-profit clubs chartered by Grand Community Association and is operated in accordance with Arizona statutes, the Bylaws of Grand Community Association, and the Bylaws of Grand Hikers.
Our mission is to offer hiking and social opportunities to engage members for their personal health, safety and well being. Membership is open to those living in the Grand community who are in good standing with Grand Community Association. Grand Hikers is ideally located close to community and regional parks and iconic hiking trails.
New Hikers: For safety reasons, the club requires that all new hikers and prospective members complete an Introductory hike prior to doing other club hikes. Typically club hikes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, offering a variety of venues and levels of difficulty. Introductory hikes occur the first Wednesday following the general membership meeting. EZ hikes are also available on Wednesdays. These are club hikes at a slower pace with more stops than a regular hike. Footwear made specifically for hiking is required on all club hikes. Click here for more information on our introductory, EZ and slower pace hikes.
General Meeting: Visitors are welcome at our general meetings, held the first Monday of October through May. Meetings are at 3 p.m. in the Cimarron Center Agua Fria Room. For more information contact
