CPR Class
CPR-AED classes are being offered by the Surprise-Fire-Medical
Department. Register for these Free non-certified classes by
going to www.surpriseaz.gov/FireFirstFridays. These classes will be
held at 14250 W Statler Plaza, Suite 101, Surprise, AZ 85374.
The next two classes are Friday, December 6, at 4:00 PM and
Friday, February 7, 2025 at 4:00 PM.

100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge
The program began at 6AM on November 1, 2024 and
closes at 4 PM PM on February 8, 2025. Each year the
"100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge" grows as numerous
Grand Hikers participate in this event and we
encourage all members to take up the challenge.
To make it easy for you to determine if a Grand Hikers'
hike qualifies, we list the information for you under
Current Info: this hike qualifies for the 100 mile in

John Hardman - Featured Artist at Grand Photos
John Hardman, one of our very own Grand Hikers, is also a member of Grand Photos. Grand Photos offers a Photographers' Showcase with many artists exhibiting one to three themed photographs on the large wall at the Grand Photos Studio in the Village Center of Grand. Simultaneously, there is Featured Artist Showcase on another wall and John has been chosen to be the featured artist for the showcase reception on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 PM. John will be displaying 5-15 themed images that he has created and will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about his work.
The Featured Artist Showcase requires one to create great photographs, employ appropriate matting and purchase or make your own frames. Please go and support John and all the artists at the showcase. If you can't make it on Friday, December 20, John's photos will be on display until the middle of February. Light refreshments will be served.

Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge
The Arizona Winter Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge is a self-
guided hiking challenge that takes you up six iconic peaks
in Arizona. Explore new mountains, test your limits and
level up your outdoor experience. The challenge includes
Piestewa Peak, Camelback Mountain, Picacho Peak,
Fremont Saddle, Wasson Peak and Flatiron. If you have
hiked some of these there are three alternates. To learn

National Trail Trek
The National Trail Trek hosted by the City of Phoenix Parks
and Recreation Department will be held in January, 2025.
This 15.5 mile trek celebrates South Mountain Park/
Preserve's "National Trail." Sign up starts December 11,
2024 and the actual trek is January 18, 2025.Go to:
